Epson I1600/I3200 Type 2 Capping Station for DTF Printers
The Epson I1600/I3200 Printhead Capping Station – Type 2 is a replacement maintenance component designed to seal a compatible printhead while the printer is idle. The cap top helps limit air exposure, retain moisture around the nozzle surface, and provide a connection point for purge, suction, and cleaning cycles.
Designed for compatible Direct-to-Film (DTF), UV DTF, and eco-solvent printer configurations using Epson PrecisionCore I1600 or I3200 printheads, the Type 2 capping station combines absorbent sponge material with a rubber perimeter seal. Its corrosion-resistant construction supports use with solvent, water-based, UV, and pigment-based inks.

Tube Compatibility Notice
Confirm the printer’s ink-tube inside diameter before ordering. This capping station is designed for 2 mm ID tubing. A printer using 3 mm ID tubing may require a separate DC-2/20 connector or a different cap-top configuration.
Installing a cap top with an incorrect inlet size may restrict flow and contribute to weak suction, ineffective cleaning cycles, or inadequate waste-ink evacuation.
Maintenance Recommendations
Replacement is recommended every 3–6 months, depending on printer usage and operating conditions, and whenever a new printhead is installed. Printer configurations with separate printhead arrays require a dedicated capping unit for each array to maintain proper suction during cleaning cycles.
Verify the cap-top type, inlet diameter, printhead platform, and printer configuration before purchasing. Contact Digital Print Supplies for compatibility assistance.
