IDS Glass, Metal & Tile Adhesion Promoter 1L - IDSPR 601
IDS Brand Glass, Tile, and Metal Adhesion Promoter improves adhesion of UV ink to all glass, tile, and metal surfaces. This adhesion promoter is an all-purpose clear primer ideal for multiple uses where a strong ink bond is required. 1 liter bottle.
Facts about the promoter:
- Optically clear when applied to glass, crystal, and other transparent substrates
- Does not leave streaks when applied
- "Low-odor", but it is still recommended to be used in a well-ventilated space
Glass, Tile & Metal Adhesion Promoter
Improves adhesion of UV Ink to all glass tile and metal surfaces. This adhesion promoter is an all-purpose clear primer ideal for multiple uses where a strong ink bond is required.
Applied by hand or with a roll coater, IDS Glass, Tile & Metal Adhesion Promoter encourages the adhesion of the ink and enhances color density and clarity of the printed color.
Adhesion Promoter Usage Instructions
Please note: Application methods can vary greatly depending on your substrate and your print needs, testing is encouraged to find optimal application methods.
Preparing the Substrate
Can be applied directly to a clean substrate and that it recommended to eliminate surface contaminants such as dirt, dust, and oils prior to application. This can be accomplished with a clean, lint-free cloth and denatured alcohol or 99% alcohol before application of adhesion promoter.
How is it Applied?
There are many methods to apply adhesion promoter to the substrate. It depends on personal preference. The following methods work best:
- Clean, lint-free cloth application
- Airless sprayer application
- Squeegee application
- Roll coat application
For each application method, apply a thin coat. The thinner the coat of adhesion promoter, the better the end result and adhesion properties of the substrate will be.
Excess residue can be wiped away from the substrate with a clean, lint-free cloth and denatured alcohol.
How Long Can the Treated Substrate Sit?
After application of the adhesion promoter, the substrate can sit for up to 24 hours before needing to be reapplied.
How Long Does it Take to Dry?
- The adhesion promoter should be air-dried at ambient temperature. It does not take long for this promoter to dissipate from the treatable surface.
